TECHNICAL LEADERSHIP

Leadership through consistency, knowledge and ownership.

I have led as a working team lead, not as a people manager. My focus has been helping the team operate well while staying close to the technical work.

01

Team Lead

Previously led a team of three, helping with day-to-day operations, questions, prioritization, ticket assignment and small issues while remaining a hands-on contributor.

02

Training

Built knowledge across the team and helped bring people up to speed during a period of organizational disruption. Conduct IT Orientation for the corporate office.

03

Performance Feedback

Completed performance evaluations for student team members as they rotated through the organization and previously participated in interviews as a supporting interviewer.

04

Escalation Ownership

Take responsibility for incidents from start to finish, coordinating other technical teams without losing ownership of the user or business outcome.

05

Process Improvement

Helped restore consistency to a service operation that had accumulated a backlog of roughly 500 tickets, many more than a year old.

06

Technical Leadership

Prefer leading through technical credibility, organization and process improvement rather than moving away from the work into a management-only role.

“Own the problem, even when someone else owns the system.”
